Thanks to members of Christ Lutheran Church for your support of the 2015 Giving Tree. Our congregation helped eight families, including 38 people, 26 of whom were children.
Due to snow and ice on local roadways, CLC has canceled its Jan. 3 Sunday worship services. Please enjoy this snow day safely at home. New Year’s Blessings!
Christ Lutheran will host Wednesday evening soup and worship services during Advent. Gather for a simple soup and bread supper at 6:15, followed by a 30-minute service. Soup suppers and Advent services will be held Dec. 2, 9 and 16, followed by an 11 p.m. candlelight service on Christmas Eve.
Christ Lutheran Church will once again offer holiday help to congregational families, our transitional shelter family, and families from North Marion School District through our Giving Tree.

Nancy Beyers will host the annual Prayer Pal luncheon at her home at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Prayer pals for the last year will be revealed, and prayer pals for the coming year will be selected. New participants are welcome to join us!
CLC will fill bags for Backpack Buddies at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. We could use volunteers to help sort and pack the food. To help, call Carolyn Popma at 503-473-1614 or Marie Gunther at 503-678-1515.
Reformation Sunday is Oct. 25. All are invited to wear red in remembrance of the roots of our Lutheran tradition. It also is A Place At The Table Sunday. We will have a single service at 11 a.m. Oct. 25, followed by our annual “Best of the Wurst” sausage dinner. All are welcome.
